St Peter's School
We are now looking forward to another busy and successful year at St Peter's, beginning with an Easter Term that promises to see pupils, both individually and collectively, achieve great things. January exams are the first academic hurdle of 2018, our musicians have exciting performances across the country to look forward to, and sports teams continue their progress through national competitions. As this term begins, our admissions season for 2018/19 draws to a close - if you would like any more information on any aspect of the process of applying to St Peter’s, please do get in touch with our admissions team, who will be more than happy to help.
Wishing you a very happy new year,
Our boarders were at the heart of the Christmas Term's drama programme, taking starring roles in two Shakespeare plays: As You Like It, this year’s flagship production, and Romeo and Juliet, which was performed at the National Schools Shakespeare Festival. Read about how boarding helps pupils to take centre stage.
Our U18 Hockey girls' team will contest the national final of the National Schools Competition, having battled their way to being amongst the top five teams in the country. The North Final against Sedbergh went to penalty flicks, where goalkeeper and boarder Emily’s crucial saves made the difference. Read more about the dramatic final here.
Sporting success is also on the cards for Fourth Form boarder Hope, who has been a key part of the Yorkshire U15 Girls' Rugby Squad so far this season. Follow Hope’s journey here.
Christmas at the Houses
Boarders ended the term with plenty of festive fun, as they enjoyed decorating their houses, performing in the Christmas concert, coming together for house dinners and the boarding dinner and film night, visiting the York Ice Festival and embarking on a Christmas Scavenger Hunt through York.
