In response to the global coronavirus outbreak, St Peter’s School, York has implemented a strict visitor policy to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the whole school community. Following instructions from the government, the school site will be closed to pupils (apart from children of key workers) from the end of the day on Friday 20 March with no indication given of when that situation will change. We ask that all non-essential visitors also stay away from the school at this time. If your visit is essential, please read our visitor policy before you visit the school.

Clifton School and Nursery

Our campus

Clifton aerial shot 2017

With 47 green acres in the heart of one of the country’s most magnificent cities, we’re confident that Clifton School and Nursery offers an unrivalled learning environment.

Though Clifton proudly occupies its own distinct location, there is opportunity for discovery at every corner of our campus, from the banks of the Ouse to the green fields and outstanding facilities of St Peter’s.

Both the Nursery and School are self-contained buildings with their own gated outside play areas, complete with sand pits, astroturf, climbing frames, a wildlife pond and much more. Each room within the school buildings is alive with light and colour, as our teachers’ innovative displays and pupils’ artwork proudly adorn the walls.

Across the Ouse, Summer 2017
Clifton School and Nursery is a comfortable, exciting and above all, fun, learning environment, in which each child has the space to learn, grow and thrive.
