In response to the global coronavirus outbreak, St Peter’s School, York has implemented a strict visitor policy to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the whole school community. Following instructions from the government, the school site will be closed to pupils (apart from children of key workers) from the end of the day on Friday 20 March with no indication given of when that situation will change. We ask that all non-essential visitors also stay away from the school at this time. If your visit is essential, please read our visitor policy before you visit the school.

childAt Clifton, learning goes beyond the classroom and beyond the school day. To complement our curriculum, we welcome exciting visitors, host inspiring activities and offer more than 30 co-curricular options throughout the academic year, ensuring that every child finds something they can be brilliant at.

Beginning at Reception, with more options available as children move through the years, our co-curriculum includes:

Art Club, for creative young minds and those who love to make a mess!

Swim Squad, in which budding young swimmers can learn from our dedicated swimming coach in our state-of-the-art pool.

Ballet, which brings together boys and girls for fun group and individual dancing.

Speech & Drama, which helps children of all years to build their confidence in everything from speaking to dramatic performance. In Year 3, pupils can take LAMDA certificates.

Karate, for budding black belts to improve their co-ordination and sporting skills.

Animation Club, in which children develop their skills in writing, creativity and IT as they direct their very own animated film.

Explorer’s Club, which introduces children to a wide range of different cultures, languages and traditions from around the world.

The Green Team, a group of children committed to making our school a sustainable and even more environmentally friendly place, working towards the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award.
