In response to the global coronavirus outbreak, St Peter’s School, York has implemented a strict visitor policy to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the whole school community. Following instructions from the government, the school site will be closed to pupils (apart from children of key workers) from the end of the day on Friday 20 March with no indication given of when that situation will change. We ask that all non-essential visitors also stay away from the school at this time. If your visit is essential, please read our visitor policy before you visit the school.

Educational visits

Just beyond our 47-acre campus, we’re lucky to have the city of York, which provides pupils with inspiration throughout the year.

Local trips help our children to learn about history, geography, nature, art, music, theatre and even chocolate!

Beyond York, trips offer children the chance to explore the beaches at Flamborough and Bridlington, the country at Mount Cook and Newby Hall, snowy slopes at xScape in Castleford and the underwater world at The Deep in Hull.

Just as exciting as our educational visits are our educational visitors. Nearly every week throughout the year, we welcome visitors from a huge variety of backgrounds. Recent visitors have included dancers, police officers, authors, ex-servicemen, animals and even a Roman Centurion.
