Clifton School and Nursery
Children from Clifton School’s Years 1, 2 and 3 performed their Christmas plays today to an audience of family and friends.
Year 1 started the show with their own unique take on the nativity story, Take That Tours Bethlehem. With all of the inns in Bethlehem full due to Take That touring Bethlehem, one of the innkeepers lets Mary and Joseph stay in his stable where they are joined by kings, queens and shepherds as well as a variety of animals.
Year 2 also told their version of the nativity. The Land Lord’s Cats, told the story of Christmas through the eyes of the Innkeeper’s cats.
To finish the show Year 3 performed Bah Humbug, a take on Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol. In the play, the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future try to change Ebenezer Scrooge’s ways before it is too late.
These three performances have been a fantastic start to Christmas and with Reception and Nursery to perform their own plays later in the week Clifton is getting well and truly into the festive spirit.
