In response to the global coronavirus outbreak, St Peter’s School, York has implemented a strict visitor policy to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the whole school community. Following instructions from the government, the school site will be closed to pupils (apart from children of key workers) from the end of the day on Friday 20 March with no indication given of when that situation will change. We ask that all non-essential visitors also stay away from the school at this time. If your visit is essential, please read our visitor policy before you visit the school.

Virtual Concerts

Zoom Concert

Clifton gathered together as a school community today for their first Zoom concert, to showcase the children's musical talents and to mark the final week of half-term.

Concerts are regularly held at Clifton to celebrate the children's learning and give emerging young musicians the opportunity to perform in front of an audience, including their friends and family.

The next musical celebration was due to be held at the end of this half-term. Instead of cancelling the concert, the teachers at Clifton have been resourceful and used technology to host a series of Zoom concerts on Tuesday 19, Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 May.

30 children from years 2 and 3 will be performing in total across the three concerts.

Mrs Hayden said: 'For some of our children, this will be their first chance to perform in front of an audience but maybe it will be slightly less nerve-racking from the comfort of their own home.

'It has been amazing to see our pupils rise to the challenge of performing in our first concert today and we are looking forwards to the next concerts. It is a lovely finish to what has turned out to be quite an unusual half-term!'
