In response to the global coronavirus outbreak, St Peter’s School, York has implemented a strict visitor policy to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the whole school community. Following instructions from the government, the school site will be closed to pupils (apart from children of key workers) from the end of the day on Friday 20 March with no indication given of when that situation will change. We ask that all non-essential visitors also stay away from the school at this time. If your visit is essential, please read our visitor policy before you visit the school.

Northern Learning Conference

Andy Cope at Northern Learning Conference 2017
Each year, Clifton hosts the Northern Learning Conference, an event that brings together educators from across the north to share ideas and hear from sector-leading speakers.

Over 200 delegates from both state and independent schools are invited to attend a series of workshops, discuss their aspirations for inspiring future generations, and to learn from the likes of The Art of Being Brilliant author Andy Cope and the mind behind Guerilla Teaching, Jonathan Lear.

This year's conference will be on Saturday 27 January.

2018 will be the Conference's fifth year, with speakers this year including:

  • Jaz Ampaw-Farr
  • Amjad Ali
  • Hywel Roberts
  • Katherine Schofield
