World Triathalon Silver for Old Peterite

Old Peterite Sam Dickinson, Manor (2011 - 2015, Head of House 2015), earned the first British Elite medal of the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final Gold Coast this month, with Silver in the 2018 ITU Triathlon U23 World Championship.

His victory, just four years after his introduction to the sport, follows a series of medals, including silver at the ETU European Championships in 2016.

The University of Leeds Sport and Exercise student was known as a keen sportsman in his School days and was delighted with his Silver Medal.

Sam said: “It is definitely up there as one of the hardest races I have done...To come away with a silver medal is a really good result...A big shout out to the other two Brits in the race, who were phenomenal. We all like to race for the flag when we hit the start line so I am really super proud to do it for GB.”
