In response to the global coronavirus outbreak, St Peter’s School, York has implemented a strict visitor policy to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the whole school community. Following instructions from the government, the school site will be closed to pupils (apart from children of key workers) from the end of the day on Friday 20 March with no indication given of when that situation will change. OP Joseph Smith wins the Oxford 'Town and Gown' 10K

As well as winning the race Old Peterite Joseph Smith (Queen's 2014) set a personal best of 31 minutes 42 seconds at the 38th Annual Oxford 'Town and Gown' 10K on Sunday 12 May 2019. As well as beating last year's best time by a further 20 seconds.  

Joseph (pictured left in red vest 2489), had his University of Oxford Graduation Ceremony (Masters in Physics) the same weekend. 

The race had nearly 4,500 participants and was organised by the charity Muscular Dystrophy UK.
