Over the summer holidays, St Peter's pupil Imogen enjoyed an unforgettable experience at the Smallpiece Trust's "Girls in Engineering" residential course at Loughborough.
The course gave participants the opportunity to explore the exciting world of engineering through a range of hands-on activities, while also developing their independence and making new friendships. Alongside the practical learning, the girls enjoyed staying on campus, sharing meals together and taking part in a variety of evening activities.
Reflecting on the experience, Imogen's mother described the course as "very well organised" and praised the welcoming accommodation, engaging activities and supportive environment. She shared that Imogen "had a great time and really learnt a lot", adding that the camp is likely to be "one of the highlights of her year".
We are delighted that Imogen was able to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity and are grateful to Ms Staniforth for sharing information about the programme. Experiences such as these help to inspire the next generation of innovators, engineers and problem-solvers.
Congratulations to Imogen on making the most of this exciting summer opportunity.
