In response to the global coronavirus outbreak, St Peter’s School, York has implemented a strict visitor policy to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the whole school community. Following instructions from the government, the school site will be closed to pupils (apart from children of key workers) from the end of the day on Friday 20 March with no indication given of when that situation will change. From the humble biro to the nuclear bomb, from microwaves to the human body, Munroe abandons scientific jargon in favour of his distinctive diagrams and cartoons to explain how and why everyday things work.
