The Charity Committee is a pupil group made up from volunteer representatives from each of the Houses and includes children in all year groups. The group researches a variety of local charities and decides which one to make the School's annual charity.
The group meets regularly to discuss ideas for fundraising and to organise events for our school community to raise awareness, and of course funds for our charity.
This year we have had a Christmas Charity Week, designed Christmas Cards, tried to read 1000 books in 3 weeks, held a Crazy Tie and Sock Day, the J5’s rowed to France and back in the Shepherd Hall, we dressed up in numerous different costumes and much more to raise money for our charity!
It is fantastic to see the imagination that the Committee brings to fundraising. We have also raised money for Children in Need by coming to school in pyjamas and onesies, as well as collecting for the Royal British Legion and Sport Relief.
The pupils' enthusiasm is infectious and it is brilliant to see the school coming together to support both local and national charities.
