St Peter's School
We were delighted to hear recently from Sam (Grove 2017), who has been awarded a music scholarship at UEA, where he will study Medicine from September 2018. Sam has also passed his ARSM saxophone diploma with distinction this year, completing work started last year in school.
Sam is one of a number of recent OPs who have continued to enjoy musical success:
Max (Queens 2016) is in his first year at Pembroke College, Cambridge, where he studies Music. Max has been appointed Principal Trombone in both the Cambridge University Symphony Orchestra and Jazz Orchestra. Max achieved a DipABRSM in trombone performance at St Peter’s and was selected for the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
Fleur (Temple 2017) is in her first year studying Zoology at Manchester University and has also continued with her singing, achieving a DipABRSM in vocal performance this year.
Sam (Grove 2017) is in his first year at the University of St Andrew’s, studying Computer Science. He has been awarded a choral scholarship to sing with the renowned St Salvator’s Chapel Choir.
Katherine (Hope 2017) has been appointed into the Trombone 1 seat in the University of Nottingham Big Band, where she is in her first year studying Mathematics. Katherine led our Brass Ensemble at St Peter’s and also achieved an ATCL piano performance diploma whilst at school.
Steph (Temple 2016) is studying saxophone and clarinet performance at the Royal College of Music. She achieved a first in her first year and has been awarded a Henry Wood scholarship as she moves forward with her course. Steph achieved a DipABRSM diploma with distinction at St Peter’s and also an ATCL in clarinet performance.
Charlie (Temple 2015) is in his third year at Manchester University, where he is studying Music. He has been elected as President of Manchester University Music Society this year and has been playing trumpet in the Big Band and singing in the Chamber Choir.
