Katie McLeish

Katie was an excellent example of a musician who shone both inside and outside St Peter’s. She was principal oboist in the City of Leeds Youth Orchestra. She was also our Head Chorister during her final year. She achieved her DipABRSM in both oboe and viola performance to add to the Grade 8 distinction level that she holds in oboe, piano and violin. She is now studying Music at Newnham College, Cambridge.

Rebecca Widdicombe

Rebecca has been singing with Gareth Malone’s Voices and was our Head Chorister. Rebecca holds Grade 8 with distinction in singing, piano and oboe and has been awarded a choral scholarship at King’s College, London where she will study Music.

Alla Petrichei

Alla came to us in the Sixth Form on an HMC scholarship from Romania. She achieved a distinction in her ATCL violin performance diploma during her time in the department, and was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

Nicholas McLeish

Nicholas was principal trumpet in the City of Leeds Youth Orchestra. He gained his Grade 8 with distinction on the trumpet and violin and also a DipABRSM in violin performance. Nicholas led our String Orchestra in his final year.

Ivan Cheng

Ivan is studying at the University of Surrey, where he is on the specialist Tonmeister studio engineering course. He has recently been awarded a scholarship for violin.

Kate Shaw

Kate was our Head Chorister at school during her time with us. Following a foundation year at the RAM, she is now studying Music at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, where she is a choral scholar.
