In response to the global coronavirus outbreak, St Peter’s School, York has implemented a strict visitor policy to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the whole school community. Following instructions from the government, the school site will be closed to pupils (apart from children of key workers) from the end of the day on Friday 20 March with no indication given of when that situation will change. Netball

Netball 2018
Netball is played in the Easter term, although some competitions begin in the Autumn Term. There are 3 games sessions in the Third and Fourth Form and 3 to 4 in the Fifth and Sixth Form.

There are four senior teams, two U15 teams and three U14 teams. An extensive fixture list includes some weekday matches as well as a full Saturday fixture programme. All year groups play inter-house matches also. The coaching staff includes a semi-professional super league player, Steph Wilson (Yorkshire Jets), alongside experienced PE specialists and coaches.

Netball

Girls whose performances are of a high enough standard are encouraged to attend the Yorkshire County Trials, the York and District Area Trials and to play in the external club circuit where we have links.

The School embarks on a tour every two years, with recent destinations including Barbados and South Africa.

St Peter’s enters the National Schools Competition and the York & District Competition every year.
