In response to the global coronavirus outbreak, St Peter’s School, York has implemented a strict visitor policy to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the whole school community. Following instructions from the government, the school site will be closed to pupils (apart from children of key workers) from the end of the day on Friday 20 March with no indication given of when that situation will change. Lower Sixth Team Prepare for Cambodian Adventure

With 134 days to go until their departure, the Lower Sixth team who will be travelling to Cambodia spent last Sunday team building and planning for their adventure in the Easter holidays 2019.

Guided by their expedition leader Vanessa Johnson, the team learned a little about some of the customs of the local communities they will visit during their trip, and had a go at putting up the hammocks that will be their home when they trek in the Cardamom Mountains.

Cambodia Training (1)In preparation for their time in the jungle the team prepared a fire pit and produced some hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows on the hot embers.

The team meet again on the 10th December to put together their itinerary for what is going to be a trip of a lifetime.
