Schools Nationally Recognised for Cricket

St Peter's Cricket - The Cricketer

St Peter’s School and St Olave’s School have this week both been nationally recognised as two of the top schools for cricket in the country.

The Cricketer magazine selected St Peter’s and St Olave’s as one of the ‘Top 100 Secondary Schools’ and ‘Top 50 Junior Schools’ respectively. The inclusion of both schools follows a thorough process with schools being judged for the quality of coaching, the range of fixtures, the extent of facilities and the overall quality of cricket.

Gareth Sharp, Head of Cricket at St Peter's School 3-18, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been included in both the Top 100 Schools, and in the inaugural Top 50 Junior Schools. It is testament to the time and dedication of our coaching staff, as well as the commitment of the boys whose appetite, enthusiasm and desire for the game is first-class.”

“We work hard to give emerging stars the best platform to help them fulfil their potential, as well as offering opportunities for all of our pupils to enjoy and develop a lifelong love of the game - it is fantastic to see everyone’s efforts recognised.”
