St Peter's School
St Peter’s School has brought to life the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast for their 2018 school musical.
Featuring a cast of 57 actors, a behind the scenes crew of 25 and a musical ensemble of 13, the production was utterly spell binding.
This classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the beast who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
Paul Miles-Kingston, Director of Music at St Peter’s School, said: “It has been a real pleasure to work with our pupils on this production over the whole term. With a witty script and some great melodies, this show has a winning combination. We have been using the full Broadway version of the musical and it is a great credit to the pupils that they have been able to master this demanding play and deliver such an enjoyable and joyful performance.”
