In response to the global coronavirus outbreak, St Peter’s School, York has implemented a strict visitor policy to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the whole school community. Following instructions from the government, the school site will be closed to pupils (apart from children of key workers) from the end of the day on Friday 20 March with no indication given of when that situation will change. We ask that all non-essential visitors also stay away from the school at this time. If your visit is essential, please read our visitor policy before you visit the school.

Westminster Abbey Welcomes St Peter's

WAbbey 2019

The Chapel Choir returned to Westminster Abbey on Thursday 3 January to sing Evensong. This is always a very special visit and we were the first school choir in the country to sing this academic year. The pupils were a great credit to the school and produced a lovely, warm, open sound throughout the service. We hope to return again in two years' time.

In addition to the Chapel Choir who sang this week, St Peter's has two other choirs that pupils can take part in as part of their co-curricular activities: the larger School Choir, with around 170 members,  and the smaller Chamber Choir. The choirs perform throughout the year in York, nationally and internationally.
