St Peter's School
This Was Me
St Peter’s GCSE Drama pupils performed their devised theatre pieces, to an audience of family and friends.
Each group were given images of fingerprints as their starting point to devise their piece of theatre from scratch. Adding in their own additional stimulus the groups constructed six unique performances around various topics all with a central theme of identity.
At St Peter’s, drama pupils work hard to devise new and original work, with regular public performances throughout the year. This approach to drama prepares our pupils for the world by giving them the opportunity to tackle interesting and diverse themes often inspired by the world around them.
Helen Lindley, Director of Drama, said: “The pupils have put a lot of hard work and creativity into their pieces, tapping into some really mature and complex themes surrounding the subject of identity. By bringing in their own influences of current events, technology and literature the groups constructed six very unique performances, providing the audience with an evening of thought provoking entertainment.”
