In response to the global coronavirus outbreak, St Peter’s School, York has implemented a strict visitor policy to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the whole school community. Following instructions from the government, the school site will be closed to pupils (apart from children of key workers) from the end of the day on Friday 20 March with no indication given of when that situation will change. We ask that all non-essential visitors also stay away from the school at this time. If your visit is essential, please read our visitor policy before you visit the school.

Sports Day

Wednesday 29 April should have been Sports Day at St Peter's. To mark the occasion, Mr Williams organised the 5k House Challenge, encouraging staff and pupils to embark on a 5km run from their homes.

Over 20 staff and 103 pupils participated in the 5k House Challenge, with participants asked to submit their times to Mr Williams before 4.00pm on Wednesday afternoon.

Runners battled through inclement weather to complete the challenge, but even heavy rain couldn’t dampen their spirits and some excellent times were recorded.

Mr Jeremy Walker, Head Master, said: "Congratulations to everyone who took part in 'Sports Day 2020'. While it was impossible to run all the usual events, this was another great example of Peterites (pupils and teachers) taking the opportunity to do things differently and turn challenge to advantage rather than adversity".
