The Evidence for God

The St Peter's School Public Lecture programme continues on Thursday 29 January from 7pm as we welcome Professor Keith Ward, who will be outlining themes from his book as he examines 'the Evidence for God'.

The lecture, held in the Memorial Hall, will see Professor Ward consider what science tells us about the existence of God as he explores the evidence for the reality of a spiritual dimension to the world. To believe in God or in ‘Spirit’, he writes, is to believe in a level of being that is deeper than the physical universe, which has purpose and value - ‘an existing state or reality of vast knowledge, understanding, freedom, beauty and happiness, not located anywhere in physical space, a spiritual reality of supreme value’.

Tickets are free and are available on our Eventbrite page.

Please either print off your ticket or display it to us on your smartphone or tablet on the evening.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Keith Ward is Regius Professor of Divinity Emeritus at the University of Oxford and Professorial Research Fellow at Heythrop College, London. He is a fellow of the British Academy and has written many popular books on philosophy, religion and Christian theology.

~ Please note there will be free refreshments and a book signing after the lecture ~
