In response to the global coronavirus outbreak, St Peter’s School, York has implemented a strict visitor policy to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the whole school community. Following instructions from the government, the school site will be closed to pupils (apart from children of key workers) from the end of the day on Friday 20 March with no indication given of when that situation will change. We ask that all non-essential visitors also stay away from the school at this time. If your visit is essential, please read our visitor policy before you visit the school.

Life after St Peter's

Pupils walking in front of Queen's 2018
A St Peter's School education equips a young person with the skills they need to go out into the world, succeed and be happy.

This is achieved not only through pupils' academic pursuits, but also with extensive support from the Higher Education and Careers team and a vast and varied co-curricular programme.

Our pupils go on to study a wide range of subjects, from medicine to mathematics, law to languages. The Arts are consistently a very popular choice for further study.

Each year a proportion of students choose to take a gap year before progressing to university, and a number also opt to go straight into employment.

You can see our most recent leavers' destinations here.

Whatever our pupils elect to do, they carry with them the Seven Values and warm spirit of St Peter's.
