St Peter's 13-18
These melt-in-the-mouth chocolate brownies are a firm favourite with pupils and staff at St Peter's. Now you can make these delicious chocolate brownies at home with this easy recipe (makes 8 - 10 portions).
Ingredients:
- 225g butter-cut into small squares
- 450g caster sugar
- 140g dark chocolate drops/callets
- 5 eggs - beaten
- 110g plain flour
- 55g Cocoa powder
- Drop of vanilla essence
Equipment
- Measuring scales
- 1 medium size bowl
- Measuring jug
- Wooden spoon
- Whisk
- 20cm x 30cm lined baking tray
- Parchment paper
Method
- Pre-heat oven to 170 degrees
- Melt the chocolate drops with the butter, sugar and vanilla essence until all melted
- Leave to cool
- Add the beaten eggs then gently fold in the flour and cocoa powder and give it a good mix
- Bake for about 20 minutes until just set
