Sports Day 2019

St Peter's 13-18

Sports Day 2019

Sports Day 1

As bad weather meant our Sports Day was called off not only last year, but also in 2017, 2016 and 2015 (such are the joys of a Yorkshire summer!), last week’s Sports Day was the first for almost all our pupils, and they certainly threw themselves into the afternoon’s activities.

Healthy house rivalry characterises the school, and was much in evidence on Sports Day, with boys and girls cheering on their housemates as they took on a range of athletics disciplines, including javelin, discus, high jump and long jump.

Sports Day 2After success for our boys at Rosslyn Park and our girls in qualifying for the regional netball finals, Sports Day is a great opportunity for pupils to compete at a broader range of sports and to showcase skills at an event attended by the whole Senior School community.

School House won both the girls and boys overall competition: a fantastic result for them.

The Clive Lewis Trophy for 100 and 200m Combined: Ben R.
