Community Action Team Host Christmas Party

Pupils at St Peter’s have been spreading the Christmas spirit with our local community.

The Community Action team organised and hosted an event for 75 senior citizens from the local area. Attendees enjoyed afternoon tea at St Peter’s with musical entertainment, bingo, a raffle and carol singing.

One pupil said ‘it is for the older community of York to get together, catch up, deepen connections, and celebrate together’. Another pupil added ‘It’s Christmas, we want to spread the cheer’.

Laura Chapman, Head of Community Action at St Peter’s, said: ‘The pupils have been planning this event for half a term and it wonderful to see them hosting this party for local people. They worked very hard both at this event and at the party for children from The Island on Sunday.’
