The Design and Technology Department are pleased to introduce the MAKERSPACE*, an exciting new Co-Curricular Club.

MAKERSPACE* (noun) A place in which people with shared interests in Design and Technology, can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment and knowledge.

Our Makerspace is an opportunity to pick up a new skill, work with exciting materials and components and meet with like-minded, creative and inquisitive people. We’ve strived to make the club accessible to all (even staff) so that there really is something for everyone.

The topics currently scheduled for Makerspace are: Mask Making; Jesmonite Casting; 3D Printing and embossed Leather Bookmarks; Laser Cut Christmas Decorations and Wearable Electronics – But more suggestions are welcome.

There are opportunities for collaboration with the Eco-Club to make bat/Birdboxes too.

Anyone interested should check their email inbox and follow the links to the MAKERSPACE sign up form. Sessions will take place in year groups, on both Tuesdays and Thursdays afterschool in the Makepeace Studio. Session invitations will be sent out via email.
