St Peter's 13-18
Queen’s House has triumphed in the Senior House Debating final.
The motion for the final was ‘This House believes that the UK would have a better future by leaving the EU’ with Dronfield proposing the motion and Queen’s opposing.
In what was an intelligent and topical debate, Dronfield focused on the economic benefits of leaving the EU and how the EU threatens the UK’s democracy. However, Queen’s argued that European elections were more democratic than Britain’s elections and raised doubts about the country’s economic success outside the Union.
The judges offered thorough feedback before declaring Queen’s winners.
