Physical Education

Clifton Sports Day 2017

Physical Education is a key area in the curriculum at St Peter's with all children from Nursery to Year Three participating in two specialised lessons each week.  As the children move up the school swimming lessons become a fantastic addition to their physical education.

The children are taught the skills of many competitive games as well as gymnastics and dance. In Year Three all the children experience playing as part of a team in inter-school fixtures providing an important introduction to competitive sport. Sports Day and the annual Swimming Gala are two of the highlights of the school year.

St Peter’s School hosts great sports facilities including a sports hall, pitches, swimming pool as well as our own Astro-turf play surface.

It is our aim to provide every child at St Peter's School with the opportunity to take part in a wide range of physical activities, learning new skills and enjoy the positives of team work and a healthy life style being active.
