Reception Get Hands-On with Exotic Creatures

Animals In Tuition (6)

Pupils at Clifton School and Nursery have been getting up close and personal with exotic animals from around the world.

Today’s visit from Animals In-Tuition got Clifton School and Nursery’s Reception class up close and personal with a range of exotic creatures including snakes, tarantulas and an African pygmy hedgehog! Pupils learned all about each of the animals, their habitats and some of their behaviours when in the wild.

The visit supported Reception’s learning theme for this term 'Rhythm and Rhyme' in which they are looking at the works of Julia Donaldson, author of books such as The Gruffalo, Room on the Broom and Superworm.

Reception teacher Benjamin Allen, at Clifton School and Nursery, said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to Animals In-Tuition for coming along and showing our children each of the animals. They were all thrilled to meet these unusual creatures and learn all about them.”
