During the half term break 45 St Olave’s pupils travelled to Folgarida in Italy for the annual School ski trip.
On the first afternoon the pupils took part in Ski Fit and we were ready to hit the slopes on Sunday morning. The pupils skied in ability groups, each with fantastic instructors and they made great progress all week.
The first evening started with the ritual Karaoke, always popular with the children and staff. Other evening activities included quizzes, bowling and a fashion show!
Throughout the week the slopes were in fantastic condition and the scenery was beautiful and we experienced unseasonal heat for half term.
We finished the week with ski presentations and the end of trip Max Factor, where the children showcased their talents in singing, dancing and acts of their choice. Our judges were very fair in their comments, but there had to be a winner and this year it was Oli.
Folgarida again proved to be a safe and welcoming environment for St Olave’s and we will look forward to visiting again in the future. Roll on USA in 2020.
Many thanks to Mr Savage for the time and effort to organise the trip, the rest of the staff and Max Ski, a great company!
