Library Assistants at St Olave’s have been running a fundraising campaign with the theme of ‘Kindness and Books’ to raise money for the York Teaching Hospital Charity, St Olave’s chosen charity, Pupils and staff have been posting cards for 20p each in the Post Box in the reception area, nominating a friend to receive a brand new copy of one of their favourite books. £42.40 has been raised for the charity. Five cards have now been drawn, and in Assembly on Friday 14 February, five lucky people will receive the gift of a book chosen for them by a friend. All the cards are now pinned to a board in the Library for everyone to see – it’s a great way to share book recommendations too!
