To mark the end of term, the teachers from St Peter’s 8-13 serenaded the children and parents as they arrived at school on Friday 11 December, singing carols outside on the pavement to raise funds for local homeless charity Carecent.
Last year, pupils at St Peter's 8-13 busked every day in the last week of term to raise money for their school charity but this hasn't been possible this year due to social distancing guidelines and year group bubbles.
Instead, Mrs Craven organised a socially distanced charity carol sing with a small staff choir, following safe distancing protocols to raise money for Carecent. The carols were even accompanied by bagpipes!
Mr Falconer, Head of St Peter's 8-13. said: "We had great fun this morning at St Peter's 8-13 as the staff sang carols to welcome the children to school on the last day of term. Thank you to the Music Department for organising this fabulous event and thank you to the school community for donating so generously."
