A St Olave's School pupil has bounced to victory in a national trampolining competition.

12 year old Toby won the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) U13 National Trampolining Championships by six points – a huge margin in the sport.

He was required to do a set routine, performed by all the competitors and then a voluntary routine which was put together by his coach.

Toby has now won all three possible titles having previously won the U9 and U11 competitions.

He trains three times a week at the York Artistic Sports Club under his coach Mark Wild.

Toby said: “I love trampolining and practice 6-8 hours a week; getting the chance to represent school at the IAPS was great fun and winning makes it even better.  It makes all those hours of practice worth it.”
