Founded in the 627AD, and located close to York’s attractive and historic city centre, St Peter’s is one of the oldest schools in the world, educating around 1,150 boys and girls aged 3-18 across the pre-preparatory, preparatory and senior tiers of our foundation. We are one of the leading schools in the north of England, performing at a high level academically and across our broad and exciting co-curriculum.
For September 2019, we are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual with appropriate experience to the joint roles of Head of Hockey and Teacher of PE. The role will encompass leading and developing our strong Hockey programme for boys and girls at St Peter’s 13-18 in addition to teaching and coaching across the whole foundation which includes St Olave’s 8-13 and Clifton 3-8. The teaching of PE will encompass curricular PE from 13-16 and, for the right person, may include some A level PE teaching.
We are a thriving and vibrant community and the post holder must expect involvement in the full life of our school, including during evenings and at weekends. We offer a competitive salary based on the St Peter’s Teaching Pay Scale.
Please note that applications must be made on the School’s application form and be accompanied by a covering letter.
