The House System is at the heart of our pastoral care provision at St Peter’s Senior School.
Houses from Year 7 upwards
Pupils will be placed in a House as they join St Peter's Senior School, either day or boarding. Our six Day Houses are Clifton, The Grove, Hope, Queen’s, School and Temple. Our three Boarding Houses are Linton (Sixth Form Boys), The Manor (Co-Ed Year 7 to 11), and Dronfield (Sixth Form Girls).
The House is the pupil’s base for spending free time (e.g. break and lunchtime), for registering, and for keeping books and equipment. They are warm and comfortable places but they are not insular; pupils can of course visit friends in other Houses. Siblings will usually be placed in the same House.
The Housemaster/mistress deals with all day to day matters and oversees a pupil's progress and welfare throughout their time at St Peter’s School. Each pupil is under the guidance of a Tutor who monitors academic progress and pastoral matters.
