St Peter’s operates a no-smartphones policy across the school. We encourage the use of technology for learning through the school provided devices.
No-Smartphone Policy
Pupils who have mobile devices place their phones in magnetically sealed pouches during the school day which remain locked until opened under staff supervision.
Technology for Learning
Pupils in Nursery do not use screens or devices. As the children move up through the school, devices and technology are introduced to support learning where appropriate.
From Year 9, pupils are lent one-to-one Microsoft Surface Pro devices for their lessons and homework. This is part of a long-term strategy to enhance and augment teaching and learning across the school, and allows us to use Teams for Homework allocation and contacting pupils.
