Junior Music Festival 

We enjoyed some very fine performances from our Third and Fourth Form musicians in our Junior Music Festival final last night. We heard 80 performances in the rounds before half-term and 30 of those were put through to the final, which was adjudicated by Andrew Penny, an experienced orchestral conductor, teacher and adjudicator.

The winners of the classes were as follows:

Girls’ Singing – Becky
Percussion – Joss 
Piano – Serene
Woodwind – Fred
Boys’ Singing – Oliver
Strings – Danny
Guitar – Anjali
Brass – Andrew

The winner of the Junior Music Festival Prize for the outstanding performance of the evening was Fred for his virtuosic performance on the clarinet of Lorito Caprice by Gomez.
