Our New Arkwright Engineering Scholar

Congratulations to Tristan who has received the prestigious Award of Arkwright Scholar.

Tristan was awarded the scholarship following a rigorous selection process designed to identify the highest-calibre school students in the UK who have a strong academic and practical ability in technical subjects.

Arkwright Engineering Scholarships exist to identify, inspire and nurture future leaders in Engineering. The accolade, which is widely recognized and respected by academia and industry supports scholars with a financial award to optimize their studies towards a career in engineering. This is alongside allocation of a dedicated industry mentor in their chosen field and wider access to work experience, summer schools and technical lectures. A huge well done to Tristan for this incredible achievement!

Tristan already has his sights set on University, hoping to study Engineering in London.

Applications for this year's Arkwright Scholarships are now open. Any Fifth Form pupils considering applying for the coming year are to attend a short meeting at 1pm on Thursday 28^th October at 1pm in Foster which will outline the process. If you cannot make the meeting, please contact Mrs Staniforth via teams to collect an information pack.
