The school website is an increasingly important part of the school’s communication platform and contains information that is useful for current parents including the latest school news. More importantly, there is now a parents’ password protected section that allows you to access reports and orders for your child. Other information such as half term and end of term mailings, careers information for Sixth Form, and school policies are also posted here.
Each child has a unique email address and password which allows them to access the school system away from school, and you will need this information to access the parents’ section. A letter and/or email will be sent to you at the beginning of the academic year giving you this information.
The website has up-to-date information including term dates and the calendar of events, which is live on the website and is therefore the most current information. The website also has curriculum information, staff lists and contact details for St Peter’s School.
In addition the website has a Critical Incident section which would be used by the school to keep the school community updated on any major problem or incident at the school.
TEXTING – the School uses a texting service from time to time for last minute changes to plan for trips etc and this will come up as JANETxt on your mobile, not the name of the school. It is important therefore we know which mobile number should be used as priority and we need to be notified if you change your number.
Newsletters - a weekly newsletter is sent to parents on Fridays during term-time, with a summary of the latest news and events including sports results. If you would like to be added to the newsletter mailing list, please contact email@example.com
Each year group has a parents’ meeting during the year where you will have an opportunity to meet individual subject teachers to discuss your son/daughter’s progress. You will be notified of the dates of these meetings and your son/daughter will make appointment times for you.
