Marygate "Park and Stride"
If you are looking to park and leave your car, please consider using the Marygate car park, just a 3 minute walk from the St Peter's campus.
“Park and Stride” is available from Marygate car park where you can park free of charge for 20 minutes at pick up and drop off times. In cooperation with the City of York Council there is free parking in Marygate Car Park (YO30 7DT) for 20 minutes at drop off and pick up times. This will allow you to park, walk the 240m to school using the footpath that goes under the railway line, return to your cars and leave the car park without being charged.
The times are:
· Monday to Friday drop off will be 07:40 to 08:40 and pick up will be 15:45 to 16:45
· Saturday drop off will be 07:40 to 08:40 and pick up will be 11:40 until 12:40
The car park charging system has been upgraded and is fitted with Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology. Each vehicle will have a window of 20 minutes that will start from the moment the vehicle enters the car park.
Sports Matches and busy times
In particularly busy times, parking spots on the campus are hard to find, and often unavailable. We would greatly appreciate you using the Marygate car park during this time, which has electric car charging points, and is only £2.80/ hour for non badge holders, and is just a 3 minute walk from campus. For more instructions on how to get to us from Marygate car park please view our map here.
Car Lift Share App
We are excited to be partnering with HomeRun, the school travel app that helps schools to understand how everyone gets to school and improve travel for parents, pupils, staff, and local residents. The service will help to enable shared and safer travel, plus create a cleaner, greener school environment.
HomeRun is a secure service that is free for you to use and is accessible only by our school's parents and staff members. If you are a current parent or staff member and would like your download link, please contact us at [email protected].
