The Rise Nursery

In St Peter's Junior School and Nursery

Opening in January 2027, in the 1400th anniversary year of St Peter’s School, The Rise Nursery represents the next chapter in a legacy built over centuries. We are proud to offer a nursery experience for children (aged 6 months to 3 years) that is both timeless and forward‑looking, rooted in the St Peter’s Keys for Life that shape every Peterite.

Our mission is to ensure that the children entrusted to us enjoy the most enriching of beginnings and an early childhood defined by warmth, delight and exceptional care.

The Vision

At The Rise Nursery, the joy of childhood will be held in the highest regard. Our approach will be unhurried and intentional, allowing children to grow with confidence and curiosity. We will create moments that matter through play and exploration, capitalising on children’s innate drive to investigate and understand their world.

We recognise that even the youngest children are highly competent and capable of remarkable things.

Our nursery will offer them boundless opportunities and magical experiences, lighting the first spark of independence, the fascination of outdoor discovery, the comfort of secure relationships.

The Nursery Day

Children will be welcomed into nursery from 8am–6pm, 50 weeks of the year, with optional early drop-off from 7:30am

We require a minimum of 3 full day sessions for each child.

Parents will be able to use the 30 hours funded childcare from 9 months.

Every day will be shaped with purpose and a deep understanding of early childhood development, ensuring that each child experiences a childhood filled with warmth and happiness whilst gaining the skills and attributes to thrive.

Learning and Exploration

Our children will benefit from the exceptional resources of St Peter’s.

The expansive 50-acre campus will become an extension of their learning world, offering space, tranquillity and opportunity unparalleled in early years education. From swimming in our pool, to exploring Forest School, to sessions with specialist teachers in PE, music and Spanish, our youngest children will enjoy a range of high quality distinctive experiences.

Nature and the outdoors will be key features to promote every child’s wellbeing and build connection to the natural world.

Nutrition

We know how important a healthy diet is to maintain energy and fuel growing minds, so our nursery menu will be created and refreshed by our excellent St Peter's Catering Team.

With a focus on variety, ingredient quality and home-made food, we are happy to cater to all dietary requirements from our on-site kitchens and bakery.
