Drama & Theatre

Virtual Commemoration is the perfect opportunity to celebrate our pupils' successes in drama and theatre this year.

Our pupils have produced a number of excellent drama and theatre productions. From Hamlet in October 2019 to The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe at Christmas, you can enjoy the magic of our school productions again by watching the videos on this page.

In recent weeks, our pupils have responded creatively and innovatively to the challenges of remote learning. Watch their incredible production Epilogues in Isolation below, inspired by the Royal Shakespeare Company's Sonnets in Solitude

We would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate our Drama pupils on their achievements this year. In April, we announced that pupils from 8-18 achieved an amazing 43 distinctions and 4 merits in their LAMDA exams. Special mentions go to Beth Wheelhouse and Amelia Hunt who have been accepted by the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.

Finally, we would like to thank all pupils who have been involved in the St Peter's School Coronavirus Time Capsule project. Working remotely with the theatre group Company Three, the pupils have used the Time Capsule videos to record their own experiences of lockdown. Topics range from 'Home Life' to 'Food, Food, Food', offering a light-hearted but poignant insight into the impact of Coronavirus on the lives of our pupils. You can watch their videos here.
