On a wet, wild evening in early October, our Lower Sixth English pupils took a trip to York Theatre Royal to see a production of ‘Sleepy Hollow’.
Based on Washington Irving’s short story ‘The Legend of Sleepy Hollow’, the production was an introduction to American Gothic with a spooky set and mysterious characters.
Pupils described the production as 'captivating' and Miss Edgar said that the evening was a great opportunity to take Lower Sixth pupils to see their first live performance of a text linked to their A Level studies.
