St Peter's Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) Pupils Receive Top Marks

We were delighted to receive EPQ results for the U6 cohort this half term - a whopping 86% of pupils achieving A*-A. The examination board were very complimentary reporting that the Dissertation projects were particularly strong in their lines of argument and that their structure was "particularly impressive."

Some of the topics chosen this year were debates around: space medicine, fast fashion, economic sanctions, earthquakes, horse racing, the Indian Premier Cricket League, Medusa, and the use of stem cells - to name but a few!  

Some pupils chose the Artefact pathway and the examination board comment on their "well focused and purposeful" research as well as their carefully-completed records, which traced the progression of each Artefact as it developed. The Artefacts were also diverse in their focus and included: a film, a children's book, and a computer-modelled library design.

Pupils at St Peter's are well-supported in their EPQs by a team of expert teachers who provided one-to-one support each week, alongside a weekly skills lecture delivered in class groups. We continue to be very proud of the independence, creativity, and robust work ethic demonstrated by our EPQ pupils - well done! 

EPQ's are included as part of St Peter's exciting Super-Curricular Programme which can be found here. This newly-announced programme gives pupils the opportunity to try out a wide variety of subjects not ordinarily included in their A Levels, as well as earn important qualifications which help to set them up for success in the future. It reflects St Peters' focus on academic excellence and providing a fun and supportive experience for Sixth Form pupils as they complete their final years at school.
